Our Coaches

COACHES

The coaches and staff grew up on these very courts.  They are the result of countless hours of hitting, sweating, learning and having fun. They’ll lead school programs, summer camps and private lessons and clinics for members this year. We’re thrilled to have such incredible local talent back on home court.

Cory Fleck

Head Coach

Cory Fleck

Cory has been playing and enjoying tennis for over ten years and the PGTC has been a big part of that. He is really looking forward to giving back to the community that was a large contributing factor to physical as well as personal growth. He is very passionate about trying to instil a love of tennis and sport in general in anyone interested in learning. Very excited about the season to come!

Ian Hewlett

Volunteer Coach

Ian Hewlett

Player for 14 years USPA 4.0 rated (Advanced) Teacher for 12 years, mostly teaching intermediate players. Belongs to a club in Arizona which has 250 to 300 players ( we have 6 courts) and have been very involved in the club, intermediate coach, vice president, ratings committee, scheduling committee. His coaching philosophy is Fun first! We’re always learning, by watching others, doing drills, helping others improve their game. Drills, drills and more drills! I’m very hands on. I always try to make my drills make sense. If they don’t, you won’t do them. (I’m not alway right) I have taken classes from some great coaches. Sarah Ansboury (Pro) and also our local 5.0 player, Lenny Chimino, in Arizona who has more gold metals than you can count. He’s my mentor. Hopefully you learn from players you play again all the time.
