Refunds
If you have any concerns with your Club membership and would like a refund to be considered, please let us know as soon as possible via email at contact us. Upon a review by the Board, you may receive a refund for your membership or any inaccurate payments that may have been incurred.

WAIVER
1. I DO HEREBY RELEASE PGTPC and its directors, officers, employees, sponsors, independent contractors and agents from all liability, and DO HEREBY WAIVE as against PGTPC and its directors, officers, employees, sponsors, independent contractors and agents all recourses, proceedings, claims, and causes of action of any kind whatsoever, in respect of any and all personal injuries or property losses which I may suffer arising out of or connected with my preparation for, or participation in tennis and/or pickleball notwithstanding that such injuries or losses may have been caused solely or partly by the negligence or breach of duty of PGTPC, or any of their directors, officers, employees, sponsors, independent contractors or agents.
2. I HEREBY ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT:
Tennis & Pickleball may be dangerous, exposing participants to many risks and hazards, some of which are inherent in the very nature of Tennis & Pickleball itself, others which result from human error and negligence on the part of the persons involved in organizing, staging and/or operating the Tennis & Pickleball as a result of the aforesaid risks and hazards, I as a participant may suffer serious personal injury, even death, as well as property loss; some of the aforesaid risks and hazards are foreseeable, but others are not;
I nevertheless freely and voluntarily assume all the aforesaid risks and hazards, and that, accordingly, my preparation for, and participation in Tennis & Pickleball shall be entirely at my own risk;
I understand that neither PGTPC nor any of its directors, officers, employees, sponsors, independent contractors or agents assume any responsibility whatsoever for my safety during the course of my preparation for or participation in Tennis & Pickleball;
I have carefully read this RELEASE and WAIVER of LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION of RISK AGREEMENT (the “Agreement”), that I fully understand same, and that I am freely and voluntarily executing same;
I clearly understand that by signing this Agreement I will be FOREVER PREVENTED FROM SUING OR OTHERWISE CLAIMING against PGTPC, its directors, officers, employees, sponsors, independent contractors and agents for any loss or damage connected with any property loss or personal injury that I may sustain while participating in or preparing for Tennis & Pickleball, whether or not such loss or injury is caused solely or partly by the negligence of PGTPC or any of its directors, officers, employees, sponsors, independent contractors and/or agents;
I have been given the opportunity and have been encouraged to seek legal advice prior to signing this Agreement;
I clearly understand that PGTPC would not permit me to participate in Tennis & Pickleball unless I signed this RELEASE and WAIVER of LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION of RISK AGREEMENT, that this RELEASE and WAIVER of LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION of RISK AGREEMENT applies to Tennis & Pickleball whether occurring in the near or distant future, and that the terms of this Agreement have been explained to me by PGTPC or one or more of their representatives;
this RELEASE and WAIVER of LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION of RISK AGREEMENT is binding on myself, my heirs, my executors, administrators, personal representatives and assigns;
this Agreement may be in addition to another agreement I must sign as a condition of participation in Tennis and that I am bound by the terms and conditions of both agreements; and
I agree that I am physically capable of participating in Tennis & Pickleball and that I have no pre-existing conditions that would hinder my ability to participate in Tennis & Pickleball.
CLUB RULES
Prince George Tennis and Pickleball Club
Club Rules
The Prince George Tennis and Pickleball Club Rules and Regulations apply to members and non-members using our facilities and will be posted at the clubhouse and on our
Website.
Violation of these rules will be brought before the Board of Directors for appropriate action and may result in a warning, temporary membership suspension, or membership cancellation with the refusal of entry to the courts.
RULES
1. The Prince George Tennis and Pickleball Club is committed to a welcoming environment
where all players and guests are treated with respect and dignity.
2. All players and guests must follow the standard Code of Conduct, Tennis Etiquette and
Fair Play as well as the Pickleball BC Discipline and Complaints Policy.
- Use of abusive or foul language is not allowed
- Throwing of racquet/paddle is not allowed
- Demeaning individuals is not allowed
- Arguments about points are not allowed in regular or tournament play.
- In the event any member would like someone to oversee tournament or competitive play, they may request that an impartial line judge or “referee” as deemed appropriate by the Club, be brought in to watch over the match and make calls relevant to the outcome of the match.
- When in doubt about a line call, it is recommended to either re-play the point, or give the point to the player who made the shot, which may have been close to the line.
3. Violation of these rules should be reported to any member of the Board.
- Players should report the conduct of play that makes them uncomfortable to a member of the Board. In the event that a resolution cannot be reached with the other individual, please notify the Board. Conduct deemed to be
in violation of the rules include but is not limited to; consistently poor line calling impacting upon play, rude or inappropriate language or behaviour on the court, cheating with respect to scoring, foot faults, or other game
violations. - The Board will determine the appropriate resolve for each situation.
4. Lessons are only to be conducted by the Club’s Professional Coaches.
5. Attire: only non-marking shoes shall be worn on the courts to preserve surfaces.
- Appropriate attire, including wearing at least a shirt and shorts/pants, are
mandatory.
6. Smoking and alcoholic beverages are prohibited on the courts. Smoking outside the courts is prohibited. Alcoholic drinks outside the courts may be allowed during Club sanctioned events when a liquor license is presented.
7. All personal items including garbage and empty ball containers must be removed from the benches after playing.
8. Playing Times
- Playing time on courts is unlimited unless
- A court or courts is/are booked for club events such as maintenance, tournament play, scheduled drop-in or lessons, in such cases players must vacate the booked court(s).
- There are players waiting for a court. In this case, play must be limited to one match to allow others to use the courts. Please ensure you leave the court to allow for others to enjoy the facility after you have played your match or two sets.
9. Gates and Lights: The last person to leave the courts must ensure the gates are locked and lights are turned off. If the Club house/office is staffed, the last person(s) on the courts must check in the office prior to departure. Failure to lock all gates upon being the last individuals to leave the courts can result in damage to the facilities.
10. Bullying and Harassment
- Bullying or harassment of any kind will not be tolerated at the Prince George Tennis and Pickleball Club. Any player deemed to have initiated inappropriate conduct such as bullying or harassment towards any other member at the Club or the Community will be subject to a decision made by the Board on their continuance of membership. Disciplinary action may be taken depending on the conduct of the member, up to and including suspension or expulsion from the Club.
- Any individual who feels they have been bullied or harassed by another member of the Club or the Community should bring such concern(s) to the attention of a Board member, and the Board of Directors will discuss the concern(s) and determine a resolution. On occasion, revisions to this document will be made in accordance with the current Board of Directors, and by the recommendation of Members of the club.
